DETAILS

MDT Detachable box magazines are designed to fit the MDT TAC21 and LSS Chassis systems, as well as many other M24-type chassis and bottom metals. Manufactured from high quality Polymer and uses a tempered steel spring. Available in .223

The .223 magazine works flawlessly with .300 Blackout. (AICS Polymer does not work with Tikka T3)

We put our magazines through vigorous testing. We have used high quality strength polymer with a high glass content to ensure durability and strength. Although not unbreakable, we have driven over these magazines with cars and trucks which did not break them.

Almost Perfect! ...Loading Issue With 300 Blackout

Posted by Anonymous on Mar 10th 2017

This is a fine magazine. Well built, functions flawlessly, well worth the price. Works very well in my 300 Blackout Remington 700 with a Magpul Hunter 700 stock. I give it only 4 stars due to a 300 Blackout specific issue: Not a deal killer, but loading the magazine requires some additional finesse. The first round loads wonderfully. However, each additional round becomes increasingly more difficult to load. It's an issue with the dimensions of the 300 Blackout round. The rim of the loading round catches on the mouth of the casing of the preceding round JUST as it needs to slide under the retaining "ears" of the magazine. As additional rounds are loaded, increased spring tension makes this more of an issue. NOTE: This is absolutely NOT an issue when actually firing. This magazine feeds incredibly well. It is a LOADING issue only. I am considering using a dremel tool to shave the "ears" back about 1/8".

With minor mod it works great in the Ruger 5.56mm Scout Rifle

Posted by Jim on Feb 23rd 2017

I was looking for an affordable alternative to the pricey Ruger steel "AICS Pattern" mags for use in my new 5.56mm Scout Rifle. With only a small step cut in the top of the MDT .223 polymer magazine it works like a champ. I have modified 7 of them so far and put a lot of rounds through them and they run absolutely reliably in the Gunsite Scout Rifle. They also still run fine in my .223 Remington 700 in a Magpul Hunter 700 stock. I am delighted!

    Exactly what I wanted

I bought 3 of these magazines for my Magpul 700 stock and maxwell. They fit and function perfectly. Mile High had the best price I could find.
