HUXWRX: Rad 22 Suppressor, Gen 2

The new and improved RAD 22 is a significant advancement in rimfire suppressors. Lightweight and quiet, the RAD 22 is full-auto rated and built with our next-generation OSS Flow-Baffle® technology — used in our new RAD 9 and 45 pistol suppressors — that substantially reduces gas blowback while maintaining superior rimfire performance.

The RAD 22 runs quieter and much cleaner than other rimfire suppressors, and it’s easy to disassemble and reassemble without special tools or indexing.  And it’s an ounce lighter and 2-4 dB quieter at the ear than the most popular .22 suppressor on a Ruger Mark IV. 

Features:

• Torque Lock®: HUXWRX Torque Lock is a patented, tool-less locking system that ensures the suppressor will stay securely mounted onto the HUXWRX QD muzzle device.
• Hearing Safe: The HUXWRX Test Rifles shall not exceed 140 dB ten shot average sound pressure level at shooter’s ear during barrel life.
• Full-Auto Rated: HUXWRX suppressors full-auto rating guarantees the suppressor passes the USSOCOM Reliability Stress Test.
• Cross-Platform Compatible: HUXWRX QD suppressors can be used on a variety of calibers and rifle platforms.
• Precision Certified: HUXWRX Suppressors are engineered and tested to meet the highest military accuracy specifications worldwide.
• Repeatable & Minimal Shift: HUXWRX Suppressors are engineered so that the mounting interface is precise and consistent. The result is repeatable and minimal point of impact (POI) shift that meets military specifications worldwide.
• No Weapons Mods: Modifications to the bolt, gas tube, buffer or recoil springs, and other timing modifications are unnecessary.
• Recoil Management: Bolt velocity increases vary between -2% to 5% depending on weapon system, barrel length, and ammo types.
• Serviceable: Suppressor maintenance can be performed to increase the service life of the suppressor.

Materials:

• The RAD 22 is made with titanium and 17-4 heat-treated stainless steel, and uses a ½ x 28 thread pitch to connect directly to the host firearm.

Calibers:

• 22LR, 22 MAG, 5.7mm, 17 HMR

Sound Pressure Levels:

• 114 – 118 dB on most .22LR platforms using CCI standard ammo
• 130 – 133 dB on 8″ CMMG 5.7mm rifle

*In an attempt to minimize waste, some suppressors and muzzle devices may arrive in OSS packaging while HUWRX transition to the new HUXWRX packaging. 

Once your suppressor purchase is finalized with Mile High Shooting, a Form 3 will be filed with the ATF requesting approval to transfer your suppressor to your chosen FFL. Initial processing can take 3-7 business days. Customers may help expedite this time frame by requesting the chosen FFL to send a copy of their FFL & SOT to ffl@milehighshooting.com. Please note, initial processing time may be delayed further if your chosen FFL fails to provide required documentation in a timely manner. Once submitted, it takes 7-21 days for Mile High Shooting to receive the Form 3 approval. As soon as the approval is received, your suppressor and any accessories will be shipped to your chosen FFL within 24-48 business hours by 2 Day Air. Your chosen FFL will then contact you once it is received and you may complete your Form 4 processing at their facility.

Mile High Shooting Accessories (MHSA) will only ship suppressors to Class III FFL holders. BATF regulation information for Suppressor ownership are as follows:

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be a U.S. citizen. 
Have no felony convictions or domestic violence convictions. 
Have no dishonorable discharge. 
Not deemed mentally unstable by a competent authority. 

The NFA rules/laws are posted through the BATF website. At this time, the following states DO NOT ALLOW private ownership of suppressors: CA, MA, DE, HI, NJ, NY, RI, IL, District of Columbia. CA allows class 3 dealers and class two manufacturers to possess suppressors.
