Picatinny Gen2 Scope Base for Remington 700 Short Action
 
High Quality Dehorned Scope Mount Base
 
Based on a decade of experience designing and manufacturing the original Ideal Scope Mount System – including a vast number of accessories – as well as forends and stock assemblies for various firearms, we are proudly providing you with the Next Generation Picatinny Rail Scope Bases. Our Picatinny Gen2 scope bases feature properly dehorned edges for improved repeatability and a smooth touch. Using 7075 T651 aluminum we combine strength and durability with low weight. Rail comes with 6-48x1/4" Torx 10-screws and stainless steel pins for optional pinning of the scope base to the action.

    Great Standard Length Base

    I upgraded to an EOTech Vudu 5-25x50 scope which is under 12” in total length. I used an existing 20 MOA Spuhr mount and realized the short optic made contact with my existing extended rail. I needed a standard, non-extended length rail. This rail mount worked perfectly for my needs and allowed the perfect clearance for the scope and mount combination.
