I have seen fake Streamlight sales on Amazon and some others, so only put a trust on MHSA. Yes it is genuine with couple more dollars comparing with other not "life trust" sellers. Indeed I am normally a penny pinching freak, but I never hesitate to pay for the service of MHSA. For the 1L or 1AA lightness there is no big different, all are eyes friendly. I have used tactical light to find a beer at 2am and that was awfully bright. This flash light is exactly on the edge that bright enough but not getting blind.
