From humble beginings as a mustang running free on the plains to the fateful Battle of the Little Bighorn, Comanche, the war horse, is an absolute legend. Famed as the sole survivor of Custer's Last Stand, Comanche reached national acclaim and even years after his death at the age of 29, Johnny Horton (one of the best country singers of all time) sings a song about the brave horse. Captured in 1868 and sold to the US Army, Comanche was known as a trusty and stoic horse, gaining his name while fighting the Comanches the horse was wounded by an arrow, but continued the fight. He was a tough horse that needed no sedation while his wounds were tended.  On June 25, 1876 he was seen going into battle with Custer's detachment and his rider, Captain Miles Keogh, two days later he was found wounded and alone. He was retired from service but stayed with his beloved 7th Cavalry and was allowed to wander the base with impunity, but always showed up in his place for morning formation. Comanche died November 7, 1891 shortly after his caretaker Gustave Korn was killed at Wounded Knee. They say he died of a broken heart.

Big fan of Warhorse Development products

I'm really surprised that this product hasn't received any reviews yet because this bag is simply amazing. I purchased the Comanche in Ranger Green at the beginning of the 2022 year to use in NRL22 competitions and also made it available to the other shooters in our club this season and this has fast become one of my favorite bags personally and is often the "go to" solution for at least half of the other members of our club to use in various stages. This bag performs very well on all of the standard NRL22 props but it really shines on the tank trap in our experiences when compared to other models/products. The bag I received does differ slightly from the pictures made available on the website in that it had the non-slip top as opposed to the cordura fabric as the website shows but I much prefer the configuration I received as compared to what was depicted in the pictures. While I'm an Army Vet from OIF, I also really like knowing that I'm not only using a quality product but also using one made in 'Made in the USA' by a USMC Veteran too. If I wasn't clear that I've become a big a fan of Warhorse Development products, I just recently placed an order for the slightly bigger version of the Comanche bag, the "Clede" (also in Ranger Green), to be used & shared with our club for the upcoming 2023 season now that Mile High has made the product available. I now own every Warhorse Development product that Mile High currently offers and have been very satisfied with all of their products that I have thus far and don't expect that opinion to change moving forward. I'd encourage you to support a small & veteran owned business and buy with confidence knowing you'll receive a quality product for competition matches.
